Pierwszy raz śpiewałam ten utwór chyba 18 lat temu. Cudownie brzmią skrzypce w tym utworze. Jest tak subtelnie. Wspaniałe nagranie. Requiem Faure też jest cudowne .

La plus belle interprétation du Cantique que je connaisse. J'en ai les larmes aux yeux à chaque fois que je l'écoute. Mais quels sont donc cet orchestre, choeur et chef ? Un choriste français.

Bien que de culture très classique (7 ans de chorale chez les Jésuites), je viens de découvrir, en voiture, ce pur chef-d'œuvre ! MERCI Radio-Classic !

This exact piece is used in Godzilla during the H.A.L.O. jump scene. How perfect it was. It genuinely sounded like the battalion was descending into hell. Seeing Godzilla and the hokmuto duke it out quietly while this played was riveting, easily became one of my favourite films ever. These singers are something else, it really sounds like thousands upon thousands of souls lamenting, though not in agony. Perfectly captures the original, authentic Biblical Sheol.

in some way, hearing the fauré's requiem you can be in the hurry to die, but ..... at this time ... pleeeease ;)

This section of the Ligeti Requiem became famous thanks to Stanley Kubrick's use of the piece in "2001: A Space Odyssey ".

A piece of music that reminds me of my family long ago. And at the childhood I once had and long for once again.
